Packages and Prices

We believe that every couple should be able to have the opportunity to have a wedding video. We will not only produce a gorgeous wedding video for your special day, but we also will be punctual, friendly, helpful and above all prepared.
We come prepared for every eventuality. We always bring extra cameras/equipment, we always make sure the audio is the best it can be (with wireless mics for vows and external mics for speeches).
Our team has a wealth of experience filming weddings, filming around 50 weddings a year. Please do get in touch with us with your filming requirements for the day if you can't find what you are looking for. We are always happy to help you get what you would like.

The Initial Meeting

We always love to meet our couples before the wedding day. It is a great time to have a coffee and a chat about the wedding, your hopes and dreams for the day and go through the timings of the day.
We, as wedding cinematographers, need to be a few steps ahead of you both on the day, so chatting through timings is key to us doing the best job we can for your. It is also a great time to get to know you both and for your to get to know us. We are more than happy to come and meet you at your house, or we can meet at a coffee shop somewhere near you.

The Wedding Day

Well, the special day has arrived!! As wedding cinematographers, we hear from our couples that they or their guests have heard bad stories of videographers who have filmed their weddings. Either the video guy was in the couples face all the time or they didn't dress for a wedding.
We, at Affordable Wedding Videos, have a company policy to only wear a suit and tie to the wedding. This is so we can blend in to the background during the day, as well as honour you both on the day. We film on DSLRs that film stunning footage in beautiful High Definition, with a number of lenses. This equipment enables us to get the shots we need but stand further back and not be too close to you. There are times where we have to be close, but we will inform you of those places at the initial meeting. We do everything we can to be inconspicuous but get all the shots we need to produce a Gorgeous Wedding Video.
To help, here is a breakdown of the parts of the day: how we film then and what you can expect.

Bridal Preparation Filming

If your package includes Bridal Preparations filming, We normally spend a few hours in the morning with you and your Bridesmaids. The idea here is to film your hair and make-up being done, get the close-up shots of the dress, bouquet and jewellery. It is also a great time to get shots of Bridesmaids banter, champagne popping and present giving.
The Bridal Preparation Filming is a lovely start to the wedding film and its the part of the wedding day the Groom will not be apart of. We can get to the Groom to film his preparations, but this does depend on the distance between your preparation locations. If you would like this, we will see if its possible and works with the schedule. We do everything we can to get the bride in her dress during this time, depending on the time.
Ceremony

We like to be able to get the ceremony venue an hour before the start of the ceremony. This allows us to set up our cameras in the ceremony room or church. We will capture lots of the guests arriving, hopefully the Groom and Groomsmen arriving too, but this is dependant on the time. Our wedding cinematographer will be outside the ceremony venue or church to get the Bridesmaids & Bride arriving in the car. For church weddings, we will purchase a Limited Manufacture License for the ceremony (copyright license for church hymns/organ music) We do our very best to get a place at the front of the ceremony, to get a lovely shot of the Bride coming down the aisle and a good shot of the vows. The other camera will be positioned at the back of the room/church, but it is dependent on the space in the venue. Our cinematographer will man the camera at the front of the room/church. We know that sound and audio are key to a gorgeous wedding film, so during the ceremony we use external microphones to get the best audio. We will mic up the groom with a lapel mic just beneath the Grooms buttonhole. We have other external mics on hands should we need to record anything else in the ceremony. Legally we cannot film the signing of the register, we will however film the photos after the signing of the register.
Reception

At the reception, our role is to capture lots of the guests enjoying themselves during the drinks reception. We take time during the day to get shots of the venue inside and out, as well as spending time in the wedding breakfast room. We do our best to capture natural shots without making your guests uncomfortable. Most of the time they won't know they are being filmed. We will film the couples arrival to reception venue, guests drinks and family photos, couple photos, receiving line (if you are having one), guests being seated and the couples entrance into the wedding. We don't filming during the dinner, so we ask our couples if it is a possibility for them to provide us with some food provided.
The speeches are filmed on 2 cameras, one camera is normally on the person speaking, the other will be filming reaction shots on the head table. We place microphones on the head table in front of the speakers, to capture the best audio possible. The camera tripods are always positioned so the cameraman/equipment isn't blocking the view of your guests. During the evening, our cinematographer will film your evening guests arriving, the cake cutting and the first dance. For the Orchid Package, we will stay for 1.5 hours after the first dance to capture your guests enjoying the evenings entertainment.
